Gas Service Policy

To establish service, the customer or applicant must visit one of the Customer Service Centers. After the service is established, LCUB will coordinate an activation time with the customer. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that an adult will be available at the service location during the time service is activated. LCUB will not activate service unless an adult is physically present at the location.

If an adult is not present at the service location, a service charge will be assessed. All onsite service calls during normal service call hours (Monday - Friday from 8:00am until 3:00pm) from LCUB are $25.00. All onsite service calls outside of those hours will be charged an additional Call-Out Fee. In the event of an emergency, no fees are assessed to turn off gas service; however, if a customer requests service to be reactivated after an emergency outside of normal service call hours, a standard Call-Out Fee will be assessed.

All natural gas connections must fulfill all criteria outlined in LCUB's Gas Standards / Specifications.

A connection charge of $25.00 is assessed for all gas activations. In addition, a Call-Out Fee will be assessed for all activations that occur outside of normal service call hours (Monday - Friday from 8:00am until 3:00pm).

All customers who are disconnected for nonpayment or a returned check must pay a $25.00 service charge to reactivate the service after their account is current. In addition, a Call-Out Fee will be assessed for all activations that occur outside of normal service call hours.
