Courtney Viar is the Director of Finance and Administrative Operations, overseeing Finance, Accounting, Budgets, Payroll, Audit, Procurement, Customer Service, Call Center, Collections, Billing, and Human Resources. With more than 15 years of experience in governmental accounting, Courtney brings strategic leadership and financial expertise to LCUB.

Before joining LCUB, she served as Chief Financial Officer for the Tellico Area Services System (TASS), a water and wastewater utility jointly owned by Loudon and Monroe Counties. She also held leadership roles within the Monroe County Finance Department and the Town of Vonore.

Courtney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Organizational Management and Accounting from Maryville College and a Master’s in Business Management from Lincoln Memorial University. She completed both the Certified Municipal Finance Officer (CMFO) and Certified County Finance Officer (CCFO) programs through the University of Tennessee and the Tennessee Comptroller’s Office.
