Jay Hines is the Manager of the Electrical Engineering Department at LCUB, where he assists commercial and residential customers with new service, service upgrades, power line extensions, and underground electric system improvements.  He also oversees management of LCUB’s two-way radio communication systems.

Jay has been with LCUB for 37 years, in addition to five years of part-time service. He previously worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority for seven years. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Roane State Community College, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
