Lenoir City Utilities Board (LCUB) is currently accepting applications for a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE). As a MCSE, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and maintaining Microsoft-based systems and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

- Designing, deploying, and maintaining, Microsoft-based systems and infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, and related components.
- Developing and implementing automation solutions to streamline system provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and document system requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and collaborating with development teams to integrate Atlassian tools into their workflows, providing guidance and support.
- Troubleshooting and resolve complex technical issues related to Microsoft systems, networking, and security.
- Engineering and operating of shared corporate infrastructure, both on premises and in Azure.
- Supporting and improving Lenoir City Utilities Boards corporate system’s resiliency and data-backup processes.
- Monitoring system performance and conducting regular performance tuning and optimization activities.
- Staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Microsoft systems.
- Provide 24/7 timely resolution of critical system issues.
The ideal candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications:

- Strong familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and system administration tasks.
- Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Server and Workstation hardening, and related technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with VMware virtualization, Cisco Hyperflex, and Azure cloud platform is desirable.
- Industry certifications, such as MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
