WATER TAP FEES
Standard residential, commercial, and industrial minimum tap fees:
STANDARD 3/4″ TAP FEE | $1,250.00 |
STANDARD 1″ TAP FEE | $1,850.00 |
Charges may increase due to additional cost related to long-side services or other factors necessary to provide service to the customer.
Service request for meters 2” or larger, meter resizing, and/or upgrade shall be determined by LCUB on an estimate of actual cost.
Fire Line tap pricing shall be determined by LCUB on an estimate of actual cost.
WATER CAPITAL RESERVE FEE
The Capital Reserve Fee is a one-time fee to any residential, commercial, or industrial customer connecting to LCUB’s water system. This fee enables LCUB to fund capital expenditures for Water Treatment Plant expansions.

Residential customers will be based on an average daily discharge of 145 gallons per household per day.
Larger commercial and industrial customers will be required to provide LCUB with maximum daily discharge quantities. LCUB will establish the Capital Reserve Fee from the data provided and LCUB has the right to adjust the fee after a 6-month history of discharged quantities compilation.
LCUB may at its discretion establish the Capital Reserve Fee using TDEC’s design basis for water works.
The fees shall be assessed, and payment made up-front for all Residential, Commercial, or Industrial developments based on the total number of services being provided.
When a development is staged as multi-phase, each phase will be assessed the fees at the time LCUB approves the design plans.
WATER MAINTENANCE FEE
The Maintenance Fee is a one-time fee to any residential, commercial, or industrial customer connecting to LCUB’s water system. This fee enables LCUB to provide for additional maintenance on the Water Distribution System.
EPA strongly recommends that a maintenance charge be enacted and that the charge be separated from normal revenues.

ROAD BORES, CASINGS, AND ROAD CUTS FEES
Actual cost for installation of road bores, casings, and road cuts will be charged.
LINE EXTENSION FEE
Requested line extensions by individuals or developers shall be discussed, designed, estimated, and permitted on an individual basis by LCUB.
The fees shall be assessed, and estimated payment made up-front for all line extensions. Actual cost may be adjusted at completion of the project.
ENGINEERING AND/OR INSPECTION FEES
Hourly rate for Engineering and/or Inspection services for residential or commercial developments including but not limited to associated work conducted in vicinity of LCUB infrastructure shall be estimated on a individual basis.
UNAUTHORIZED WATER USE FEE
Tampering fee per event, if applicable. Additional charges may result regarding necessary repairs or replacement, estimated usage, etc. for the unauthorized connection or illegal use.
