Residential Customers

The steps below serve as a guide for establishing service with LCUB:

  1. Review LCUB’s service area maps for Electric, Gas, Water & Wastewater to determine which services LCUB provides for your residence.
  2. Review LCUB’s Service Termination and Collection Policy.
  3. Review the following additional terms and conditions:
    • Limitation of Liability: LCUB’s limitation of liability will not extend beyond the customer’s delivery point. The delivery point is defined as the point at which LCUB’s service connects with the customer’s facility. For electric service, the delivery point is further defined as the customer-owned weather head for overhead service and at LCUB’s transformer secondary bushings for underground service. In accordance with TVA operating rules, LCUB is not liable for lightning, power surges, low voltage, high voltage, loss of power, or any other temporary, abnormal system condition that is caused by weather, long-term equipment failures, or other causes not due to direct negligence by LCUB or its employees. The customer is responsible for purchasing and installing any protective devices required to protect the customer’s equipment from any temporary, abnormal system condition that may occur occasionally.
  4. Complete and print an application for service. Una Aplicación de Español también está disponible.
  5. A single $100.00 deposit, in accordance with LCUB’s Service Deposit Policy, will be assessed.
  6. A $25.00 service charge for EACH level (electric, gas, water, and / or wastewater) of service will be assessed at the time of application.
  7. Additional installation and / or other types of fees may apply. Review the schedule of fees for each service.
  8. Two (2) forms of identification are required. One (1) MUST be a photo ID (a driver’s license or any of the other valid types of photo identification on List A or List B from the USCIS I-9 requirements) and the other can be a Social Security Card, Voter Registration Card, or any of the documents listed on List C from the USCIS I-9.
  9. Bring the printed application, purchase or lease agreement, and fees to any LCUB Customer Service Center to activate service. Helpful customer service representatives are available via phone to answer any questions during normal business hours.

Commercial and Industrial Customers

    • Limitation of Liability: LCUB’s limitation of liability will not extend beyond the customer’s delivery point.   8. Commercial customers must bring a copy of their Business License and Tax ID Form. A Photo ID may be required for the Business Agent who establishes service.

Stop Service

To terminate service, you can call Customer Service or visit one of our Customer Service Centers. Please note that LCUB does not allow temporary or seasonal disconnections.
